This position is responsible for performing routine as well as specialized cleaning in the buildings at our Wavetronix Springs campus. This position reports directly to the Facilities Operations Lead and is responsible for cleaning assigned areas in one or more buildings. This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits. About the Job Day-to-day responsibilities include routine cleaning of all assigned areas such as restrooms, sweeping, mopping, glass cleaning, trash removal, and dusting, as well as periodic special projects such as carpet extraction and upholstery cleaning. This role involves preparing and resetting rooms for daily use, operating equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and sprayers, and assisting with event setup and furniture moving as requested. Additional duties, tasks, and responsibilities may be assigned as needed, including work that falls outside the core scope of this role when other units in the company may need assistance. There are some physical demands required of this job and applicants must be able to meet these to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. This role requires regular standing, walking, and use of hands and fingers to handle and lift objects up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees will frequently reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and must be able to work regular 8-hour shifts. This role also requires the ability to communicate effectively with team members both verbally and in writing, and must learn and use our Facilities Link management software daily. While most of the work takes place in moderate noise conditions, this role can occasionally involve exposure to wet or humid environments, fumes, airborne particles, or work near moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical equipment, and outdoor or elevated locations. Days:
Learn about the company history, culture, and values through onboarding. Be familiar with the basics of the company's most used software applications. Gain understanding of Wavetronix facilities as well as cleaning assignments. Go through training program with Facilities Director and Lead Custodian. 60 - 90
Days:
Feel comfortable in assigned area(s) and with assigned duties. Have weekly meetings with the Lead Custodian. Have a knowledge of the supplies and machines used in the Wavetronix Custodial circle. Should be able to communicate with other employees in the building to handle quick requests or emergencies. First year : Successfully and regularly use software applications used at the company. Completed all basic custodial training. Actively participate in company learning and development programs. Ability to run an area independently with little oversight and potentially take on other projects. Be familiar with general company events and activities.
