POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within our steel fabrication facility, ensuring a tidy and safe environment for employees and visitors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors. Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and break rooms. Empty trash and recycling bins Refill supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper). Clean windows and glass surfaces. Report maintenance issues or hazards to Management or HR. Lock and unlock buildings as required Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies Follow all safety and sanitization procedures Maintain confidentiality when working around sensitive documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to perform each essential duty daily. Previous experience in janitorial or custodial experience is a plus. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Reliable, self-motivated, and detail oriented. Ability to follow instructions and have a good attitude. Must perform physical tasks and responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis in conjunction with the official Company doctor and clinic. Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods. Physically fit to work in an industrial environment and tolerate exposure to varying physical conditions. Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Industrial warehouse and manufacturing environment with heavy machinery, and overhead cranes. Use of PPE such as gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear is required. Interaction with team members, leads, and supervisors is frequent and necessary.
