Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely while following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety. Conduct heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injuries. Maintain cleanliness standards by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing high-touch areas, and disposing of waste properly. Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other custodial equipment with precision and care. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards on-site. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed to uphold the facility's appearance and functionality. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client requests promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude. Support industrial cleaning projects or specialized custodial tasks that require attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, residential, or industrial settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners is highly desirable. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is essential. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting is a plus. Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques to ensure injury-free work performance.
