Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of interior common areas including floors, hallways, kitchenette, leasing office, lobbies, restrooms, stairwells, and elevators using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums. Empty trash, replace trash liners, clean and disinfect dispensers as needed. Maintain exterior spaces by blowing and sweeping curbsides, entryways, outdoor seating areas, parking lots, walkways, and landscaping debris to ensure a tidy appearance free from leaves, spills and trash. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures for cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and other custodial chemicals. Use manual handling techniques to lift cleaning materials or supplies safely while following safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Conduct routine sanitation tasks including trash removal, surface disinfecting, window washing, and floor care to uphold hygiene standards. Operate commercial cleaning equipment efficiently with attention to safety protocols to ensure optimal results without damage or hazards. Respond promptly to maintenance or cleanliness requests from building management or residents to uphold high standards of facility appearance and safety. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work within commercial or residential settings preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, blowing the grounds, and the use of various cleaning equipment. Familiarity with chemical handling safety procedures and the proper use of cleaning agents to ensure a safe working environment. Ability to perform lifting and manual handling tasks in accordance with safety guidelines. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with residents or visitors. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks. Ability to provide apartment turnover cleaning. Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in both interior and exterior areas.
