Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle cleaning chemicals safely, adhering to chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation protocols to ensure a healthy environment. Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers and other custodial equipment with proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices. Maintain supplies by restocking restroom amenities, cleaning supplies, and ensuring equipment is in good working order for efficient operations. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or residential painting as needed to support overall facilities upkeep. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper handling of chemical agents. Ability to operate cleaning equipment like floor buffers safely and effectively. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while following safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleanliness across all areas.
