Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques such as buffing and floor care. Conduct janitorial tasks including trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with custodial responsibilities in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring spaces are tidy and presentable. Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, or industrial cleaning projects as needed. Operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently, including buffers and floor polishers to maintain flooring quality. Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning operations to prevent accidents or injuries. Collaborate with team members to complete daily cleaning schedules promptly and thoroughly. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a strong understanding of proper cleaning procedures. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors. Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing manual tasks throughout the shift. Effective communication skills to work well within a team environment and follow instructions clearly.
