Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a Custodian to maintain our facility. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for keeping the premises well-maintained and clean. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces. Handle industrial cleaning tasks when required, including cleaning large equipment or specialized areas Support facilities maintenance such as repairs needed for fixtures, lighting, or structural issues Assist with residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to support facility aesthetics Maintain grounds by cutting and trimming grass and weeds and clearing trash Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within commercial or residential settings Strong knowledge of custodial techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing) and general sanitation practices. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work. Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks over extended periods Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues promptly
Pay:
$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
