In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. Your proactive approach will help create a positive atmosphere for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Operate floor care machinery including buffers and polishers to maintain shiny, well-kept flooring. Assist with industrial cleaning projects and commercial cleaning duties as needed to support large-scale sanitation efforts. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe environment for all occupants. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and usage of chemicals following safety guidelines. Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues on various custodial tasks and ensuring efficient workflow. Requirements Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services, with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors. Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers effectively. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols when handling chemicals or performing maintenance tasks. Excellent time management skills to prioritize daily duties efficiently. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
