A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Responsibilities The Porter reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the property. Maintain cleanliness of the common areas, hallways, and restrooms Clean and pick up grounds and breezeways; including trash collection Assist with furniture placement in the common areas and individual units Remove snow and spread salt in inclement weather Assist with pool maintenance as directed by supervisor Assist with light maintenance as directed by supervisor Qualifications High school diploma or GED Strong customer service skills Ability to follow instructions efficiently
