Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

The opportunity Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for seasonal Porter to join our team at Skyland Lodge in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. As a Porter, you will help with the day-to-day operations at the hotel and ensure guests have everything they need during their stay. Greet and assist guests with luggage at check-in and check-out, and show them to their room. Explain room features, such as locks, ventilation systems, and the television, to guests Provide guests with local information, recommendations, and directions Perform any combination of light cleaning duties around the hotel, both inside and out, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping and restroom cleaning in both the front and back of the house. Additional housekeeping duties as assigned Driving a company vehicle on a daily basis Report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors More about you No experience or diploma required Excellent verbal communications skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must posses and maintain a valid drivers license Physical requirements Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to lift moderate amounts of weight Shift details Evenings Weekends Holidays M-F
