A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
Part-Time, Hourly (10-15 hours per week) Schedule may include evening, night time, and/or weekend shifts.

$14.00 - $16.00 Position Overview The Custodial Technician plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall presentation of Salisbury Country Club. A clean and well-maintained facility is an essential part of the member and guest experience. The Custodial Technician is responsible for maintaining assigned member areas, workspaces, restrooms, and other facility areas in a clean, organized, sanitary, and welcoming condition. The successful candidate will take pride in their work, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and consistently maintain the high standards expected of the Club. Essential Responsibilities Perform routine and detailed cleaning duties in accordance with established Club and department procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout member areas, workspaces, and other assigned areas. Empty trash receptacles, maintain cleanliness around dumpsters, and sanitize trash containers. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and other floor surfaces. Perform carpet cleaning and other floor-care duties as needed. Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish restroom supplies. Clean and disinfect countertops, tables, and other frequently touched surfaces. Dust and clean doors, door frames, trim, baseboards, and other surfaces. Clean and maintain furniture and fixtures. Clean interior and exterior windows as assigned. Clean and maintain window blinds and/or shades. Replace light bulbs and perform other basic facility-related tasks as assigned. Identify and report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Follow all Club safety policies, procedures, and applicable requirements. Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and courteous conduct while representing Salisbury Country Club. Perform other custodial and facility-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently. Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently. Good verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of general cleaning methods, products, equipment, and procedures. Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability and willingness to occasionally work from a step stool or step ladder. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also completing tasks independently. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Minimum of one year of custodial or professional cleaning experience required. Successful completion of a criminal background check. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
