Job Description
Facilities Management at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for a Custodial Services Supervisor role that support both the Academic and Health System areas across the University. This is an exciting opportunity to those new to supervisory roles that have experience in commercial custodial work! We are looking for leaders who are self-starters, enthusiastic about working with a strong team, and more importantly, passionate about the cleaning industry within higher education. If you are reliable, self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and work well within a team, we want to hear from you! The Custodial Services Supervisors are responsible for providing clean and healthy environments for the University Academic and Health System facilities by supervising up to approximately 10 - 15 employees in performing safe and critical custodial management tasks. The Supervisor maintains department expectations of providing high quality and consistent service by supervising, scheduling, and training the work force. The Supervisor maintains positive and professional relationships with facility occupants, staff, colleagues, students, visitors, and department leadership. This is for one position with two different shift opportunities. The shifts to choose from are 4:00am-12:30pm or 6:00am - 2:30pm. The anticipated hiring range is $25.00-$28.00, commensurate with experience. $1,500 sign-on bonus for all new hires to the University! Facilities Management (FM) supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic and patient care programs. With over 1,200 employees dedicated to excellence, Facilities Management is responsible for the day-to-day operation, repair, and maintenance of UVA's buildings, infrastructure, and grounds as well as other University-owned and leased properties.
