Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner Janitorial Worker to maintain a clean facility location. This position is Monday-Friday, hours 5:00 - 9:00 p.m., 20 hours weekly. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness are upheld. Your efforts will directly contribute to a healthy, organized workspace that promotes productivity and well-being for all staff and visitors. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness across all areas. Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or exposure. Operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, and other custodial tools with precision and care. Conduct detailed sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces to ensure compliance with health standards. Follow safety guidelines during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries and promote safe working practices. Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning duties are completed efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude toward customer service for internal clients or visitors. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards. Good communication skills and a friendly approach to customer service when interacting with staff or visitors. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting heavy items safely, and performing repetitive motions.
