A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance Required
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Vacuuming
- Mopping, dust mopping, sweeping and scrubbing floors.
- Empty waste containers.
- Low and high cleaning.
- Deliver collected refuse to the loading dock.
- Perform restroom cleaning.
- Preform restroom checks.
- Clean water fountains.
- Clean fitness centers, showers and locker rooms.
- Clean freight and passenger elevators.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors at prescribed heights.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Shampoo carpets.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.
- Police grounds and empty waste containers.
- Assist in Special Events setups.
- Must monitor building for maintenance, safety, and security issues and report any violations to immediate Supervisor or Management.
- Maintains custodial equipment in a clean, safe, operable condition.
- Report shortage of supplied and equipment failuers to immediate Supervisor or Management.
- Preforms other related work as assigned. #Intel ## Basic Job Requirements
- A combination of education and directly related experience equal to one (1) year
- ; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to managements, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance Required
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Proven experience as custodian, janitor, or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness
- Very good physical condition and strength
- High school diploma is preferred but not required.
