A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

General cleaning and minor maintenance in all areas of the building and grounds to include scrubbing, mopping, vacuuming, dusting sweeping, buffing, snow removal, grass mowing, hedge trimming. Position involves moving furniture, supplies, and equipment. Other duties as assigned by the school's principal / designee.Qualifications:
- Experience in custodial or related field.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, equipment, and chemicals.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use machines/equipment for routine cleaning and maintenance.
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
