What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
The Windham Southeast School District (WSESD)/Windham Southeast Supervisory Union (WSESU) is an increasingly diverse community with an ongoing commitment to social justice and anti-racism. We are looking for enthusiastic professionals to join us in furthering this work. Cleans assigned school facilities, classrooms, offices, restrooms, shops and common areas. Maintains supplies and equipment. Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Arranges furnishings and equipment for the purpose of providing preparations for meeting, classroom activities and special events. Responds to immediate safety and or operational concerns for the purpose of taking appropriate action to resolve all such concerns. This position reports directly to the Custodial Night Supervisor.
