Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards. Implement proper sanitation procedures for bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas to promote hygiene and safety. Use appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment effectively for floor care, carpet cleaning, surface sanitation, and outdoor work as needed. Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms with care. Conduct heavy lifting of supplies or equipment safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines. Maintain cleanliness of all areas by cleaning surfaces, windows, fixtures, and outdoor spaces when required. Communicate professionally with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service. Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards. Follow housekeeping management protocols to ensure consistency across residential or commercial environments. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within residential or commercial settings is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning procedures including sanitation practices and floor care techniques. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, carpet extractors, and outdoor tools. Ability to handle cleaning supplies safely; experience with cleaning detergents is advantageous. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Strong organizational skills with excellent time management capabilities to prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Experience in outdoor work environments or residential housekeeping is a plus.
