A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

To Be Determined Job Description Substitutes are needed at all schools, year-round. We are looking for reliable, flexible workers to assist our wonderful custodial staff. Duties for custodian substitutes range from sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping floors; vacuuming rugs and carpets; dust and polish furniture and woodwork; empty and clean waste receptacles; and clean restrooms. Other duties may be assigned. Prior cleaning experience preferred but not necessary. Payment for substitute work is $150 per full day. Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union (OSSU) serves school age children in the towns of Craftsbury, Greensboro, Hardwick, Stannard, Wolcott and Woodbury.
