A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Monday
- Friday 7.5 hours per shift
Job Summary:
- The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in assigned areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, and common areas on a regular basis.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; clean carpets and other floor types as needed.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs and minor repairs.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to management.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment properly.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus but not necessary.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Working Conditions:
- May require lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Will involve standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
