This is a part-time, on-call employee position (W-2, not an independent contractor or 1099 role) for individuals who want flexible work without committing to a guaranteed full-time weekly schedule. Our workload varies based on commercial and construction projects. Some assignments are scheduled in advance, while larger projects may become available with 24-48 hours notice. Certain public works or qualifying projects may be subject to Washington State prevailing wage requirements. When applicable, employees will be paid the required prevailing wage rate for the work performed, the project location, and the applicable wage determination. Prevailing-wage assignments may pay substantially more than the standard hourly rate. Prevailing wage applies only to qualifying projects. Because rates vary by project, county, classification, and effective date, a single fixed prevailing-wage rate is not listed here. Some urgent or short-notice projects may also include a project or rush bonus when offered. Bonuses are offered at the company's discretion and are not guaranteed. Many assignments are scheduled in advance, and some projects may be offered with only 24-48 hours notice. Weekday, weekend, evening, early morning, or occasional overnight work may be available. Some projects may involve 8-12 hour shifts. This position is ideal for someone who wants flexible additional work rather than guaranteed full-time hours.
