Job Description

Service Delivery and People Development:
a. Oversee daily janitorial operations across assigned Seattle sites, ensuring quality and efficiency. b. Train, coach, and support janitorial staff, promoting performance and development. c. Conduct regular site visits to verify work completion, quality standards, and attendance. d. Address staffing gaps, callouts, and scheduling needs in partnership with management. e. Document employee performance and attendance concerns and escalate as appropriate.Compliance:
Reviews and corrects employee timesheets daily; submits timesheets by required deadlines Responsible for accountability and monitoring the performance of janitorial staff Works with janitorial management to appropriately staff sites to maintain the government programs' staffing requirements Consistent documentation of site status on nightly reports, employee communications, and cross-department collaboration Fulfills the contract scope of work requirements for assigned sites Assures Route sheets reflect the contractScope of Work Logistics :
Clocks in and out each day, including at each building or facility visited if the site includes multiple contracts. Responsible for developing and implementing janitors' work schedules with support from janitorial assistant manager Monthly audit and updates of route sheets Maintains and replenishes appropriate supply levels at all assigned work sites; works with janitorial management logistics team to ensure needs for supplies and equipment are met Assigns workers to buildings; assigns necessary equipment to workers Assures employees obtain timely clearances and badges assuring they attend fingerprinting and other clearance appointments necessary to complete badging process.Safety:
Responsible for overseeing and administering a strong and active safety program Understands all RR safety policies and procedures, including accident and incident reporting in Medcor Adhere to OSHA guidelines and regulationsQuality Assurance:
Conducts daily and weekly site inspections to ensure quality standards are met in accordance with Relays Quality Assurance SOP's Utilization of inspection software to timely report and resolve of deficiencies Utilization of inspection software to track and resolve tickets from customers and internally Address inspection concerns within the established timelines and communication with Manager process improvements or escalations.Miscellaneous:
Attends project, task force, and team meetings as requested Performs other duties as assigned Maintains appropriate communications with all levels of the Janitorial business unit and with customers and external vendors Responsive to all janitorial management and Hub (HR, Accounting, etc.) requests for information Working with Employee Resource Navigators/ Accessibility Inclusion & Accommodations Team for work supports or other resources to set employees up for success. Maintains all Relay assigned areas within customer sites in a clean and orderly manner, Supply rooms, closets and offices. Why you're a great fit We know that experience is gathered in many ways. If you have a demonstrated ability to fulfill the job duties but got there in a different way, please apply. 3 years or equivalent education and experience in janitorial operations Demonstrated customer service and issue resolution experience Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel Good communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to write and read simple instructions and short correspondence Communication skills within a diverse population The ability to pass a criminal background check Will need a driver license and pass DMV check Walk and stand for long periods of time Perform work that includes lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, bending, and pulling Speak and understand basic English Janitorial Relay is one of the largest janitorial service providers in the greater Portland area.
