Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our commercial or residential spaces. Your energetic approach will ensure that all areas are spotless, well-maintained, and meet the highest standards of cleanliness. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive atmosphere and support the overall functionality of our facilities through diligent cleaning and maintenance efforts. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as carpet extraction, floor buffing, waxing, and polishing to keep surfaces looking pristine. Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, fixtures, and furniture to uphold a professional appearance. Assist with custodial responsibilities including trash removal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces regularly. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed for equipment or infrastructure. Execute specialized cleaning procedures for sensitive areas or equipment following safety protocols. Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety standards to create a safe environment for staff and visitors. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and carpet extractors is advantageous. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow cleaning schedules and procedures accurately. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery.
