The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, including residential and commercial spaces. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning tasks, ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a clean and safe environment. Carry out industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Assist with residential painting and facilities maintenance as required. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues. Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained in good working condition. Provide porter services by moving furniture or equipment as necessary during cleaning operations. Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces to prevent the spread of germs. Requirements Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Familiarity with safety protocols related to industrial cleaning environments is a plus.
