Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role is vital in ensuring that all spaces are hygienic, well-organized, and presentable for staff, and customers alike. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Operate floor buffers, polishers, and other custodial machinery to maintain floor care standards Handle chemical agents safely and in accordance with safety protocols to ensure a healthy environment for everyone Conduct heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or equipment following safe lifting practices Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution Skills Experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial and industrial cleaning techniques Ability to perform manual tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment Experience operating floor buffers, polishers, or other custodial machinery Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and basic repair skills are not required but are nice-to-have skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a clean and safe environment while honing their custodial expertise.
