A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
We are hiring a reliable, steady, and detail‑oriented cleaner. This is an entry-level cleaning/custodial role with a supportive team in a school environment. A great fit for parents, retirees, or anyone who enjoys independent work, wants weekends and holidays off, and appreciates the option to take summers off. Schedule Choose any three weekdays as your base schedule — yes, you pick your three days ! Must be available for additional weekday evening shifts as needed (if one of the three permanent team members is out ill or on vacation etc.). Evening/late afternoon shifts during the school year Take the summer off or work day-shift hours if preferred. Flexible scheduling available. No weekends, no holidays, off during school closures. Duties General cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. Trash removal and restocking supplies. Occasional help with event setup or takedown. Follow direction from the lead custodian. Interact with staff and students with a positive, friendly demeanor. Experience No experience required — we provide full training. Familiarity with cleaning tools is helpful but not required. Must be able to perform basic physical tasks safely. Looking for someone dependable, positive, and comfortable working independently.
