Duties Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work as needed. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are met or exceeded. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely. Manage laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms. Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining proper posture and technique. Maintain cleanliness of surfaces in kitchens, bathrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces to promote sanitation. Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide exceptional customer service. Manage time efficiently to complete daily cleaning schedules within designated timeframes. Follow health and safety guidelines for the use of cleaning detergents and chemicals. Support housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with a focus on residential or commercial cleaning preferred. Knowledge of cleaning detergents, sanitation practices, floor care techniques, and equipment operation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with physical endurance. Strong attention to detail with excellent dusting, surface cleaning, and sanitation skills. Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Experience with outdoor work environments is a plus. Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the day. Previous experience in laundry services or housekeeper roles is advantageous. Familiarity with carpet cleaning methods is desirable.
