A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Janitorial / Support Cleaner. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining our office facilities, while also serving as a backup cleaner for our Contents Division and Media Station areas. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe work environment across multiple locations.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 6:30pm-9:30pm
Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors Empty trash and recycling bins Clean and disinfect restrooms and break areas Sanitize high-touch surfaces (desks, doorknobs, switches, etc.) Wipe down kitchen and common area surfaces; restock supplies Report maintenance issues or supply needs Secure building after hours (if applicable)
Backup Cleaning Duties:
Serve as a backup for cleaning duties in the Contents Division, which may include: Light cleaning of workspaces, tables, and equipment Vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting areas where contents are processed Supporting cleanliness standards required for delicate or restored items Serve as a backup for the Media Station, including: Cleaning and organizing photo/video stations Dusting electronics and light surfaces Keeping the station tidy and clutter-free
Qualification:
Ability to work independently and follow cleaning protocols Flexible and willing to support multiple teams as needed Physically able to perform cleaning duties (lift 25 lbs, bend, stand for extended periods) Willingness to be trained on cleaning expectations for specialty areas (e.g., contents/media) Physical Requirements Lift up to 25-30 pounds frequently during shift.
