has an openings for a full time Custodians. The hours are 2nd shift during the school year - 2:30pm to 11:00pm and 1st shift in the summer (approx. 10 weeks).

JOB GOAL

To maintain the school building at a high standard of cleanliness in order to provide safe and healthful facilities for students, staff and public.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

Cleans assigned rooms and area according to procedures directed by the supervisor of buildings and grounds Cleans floors utilizing power equipment such as vacuum cleaners and power scrubbers in addition to hand equipment such as brooms and mops Cleans restrooms and locker rooms using cleaning chemicals and scrub brushes. Refills soap and paper dispensers Removes snow utilizing power equipment and other means Removes waste from trash containers Performs basic preventive maintenance and repairs to equipment Washes walls and furniture, strips and waxes floors and shampoos rugs utilizing power equipment Unlocks building in morning and secures it in the evening Provides miscellaneous services as requested by the principal and the faculty Performs other duties as assigned Delivers materials with district vehicles between buildings or to designated sites

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl Must be able to climb to heights 20 feet and higher Must be able to work at heights 20 feet and higher Must be able to tolerate heat and cold Must be able to lift 50 pounds Must be able to work in inclement weather and in small spaces Must be able to work with potent cleaning and maintenance chemicals Reach with hands and arms Speak clearly so listeners can understand Understand the speech of another person/listen
