Custodial Technician

The Part-Time Custodial Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the common areas, amenities, and public spaces in a high-rise apartment building, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for residents. Additionally, this position will also be responsible for cleaning apartments on turns.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain common areas, amenities, and public spaces, including hallways, stairwells, lobbies, elevators, and laundry rooms. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust floors and surfaces, ensuring they are free from debris and stains. Clean and disinfect restrooms and restock supplies as needed. Collect and dispose of trash and recycling. Clean vacant apartments on turns, ensuring they are move-in ready for new residents. Report maintenance and repair needs to the appropriate staff member. Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal and salt application as needed. Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests, responding to requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Assist the lead maintenance tech.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in custodial or housekeeping work. Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Experience working in a high-rise apartment building. Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting techniques and materials.
