Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained to promote a healthy environment for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help uphold our high standards of sanitation, safety, and facility appearance. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to ensure effective sanitation without risk. Conduct heavy lifting tasks with safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning equipment. Maintain the cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance. Restock supplies such as coffee, cups, paper, plates, coffee, creamer, sugar, paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning products to ensure continuous availability. Follow all safety procedures during custodial tasks to prevent accidents or injuries while handling cleaning chemicals or equipment. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Skills Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with strong custodial skills. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including sanitation standards and floor care methods. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums efficiently and safely. Familiarity with chemical handling safety procedures to prevent hazards during cleaning operations. Physical strength and stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards across all areas. Good communication skills combined with a customer service mindset to interact professionally with staff and visitors while performing duties.
