Jiffy Trip is currently searching to fill our new Shift Leader positions in our Jiffy Trip Convenience Stores. Maybe you are the perfect fit! Starting wage is $16.00. The Restaurant Shift Leader works with the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager to perform various tasks involved in the overall management of the Restaurant, including employee task completion, store cleanliness and excellent customer service delivered by the team members on their shift. The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall functions and appearance of the Restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager. The Shift Leader will perform the following duties: 1. Adheres to all established policies and procedures and ensures all team members on the shift adhere to the same. 2. Ensures that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a guest-friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest and maintaining outstanding standards and solid product knowledge. 3. Completes assigned tasks and ensures all team members complete all assigned tasks. 4. Ensures floor is swept and mopped appropriately during shift. Ensures team members always use wet floor sign for safety and empties trash and replaces liner as needed. 5. Immediately reports all equipment malfunctions to JT Listens and Store Manager. 6. Maintains Restaurant in a manner consistent with Health Department Standards. 7. Works with Manager to plan and assign shift tasks and assignments. This list is not all inclusive
Education:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred
Experience:
Knowledge of health department standards is helpful. Previous food service experience is a plus.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a retail setting, usually indoors in a controlled climate. This role routinely requires standing for long periods of time. This position may be subjected to irregular hours. Position may require lifting or carrying of items up to 50 pounds or higher. Position may also have exposure to possible hazards such as equipment that could cause burns, exposure to extreme hot/cold, exposure to dust/fumes, exposure to moving mechanical parts and exposure to potential electrical conditions. All Restaurant Team Members take pride in preparing and serving delicious food. They know that in order to do this right, they need a clean and organized work area. By consistently following the proper recipes and procedures, and adhering to JT's high standards regarding food preparation, cleaning and sanitation, teamwork and customer service, they help to ensure that the customer experience is always the best it can be. All Team members will work at a variety of stations. In each area they're greeting and interacting with customers directly, making their meals, while portioning out the ingredients to our standards.
