This role is essential to delivering the high-quality cocktails and food that define our guest experience — from house-made juices and batches to select food prep. Job Summary The Prep team member plays a key role in keeping our bar and kitchen running smoothly. This role covers cocktail component prep — including clarifications, juicing, and batching — along with basic food prep, organization, and maintaining rigorous standards of cleanliness, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities Cocktail Prep:

Prepare cocktail components including clarified juices, fresh-pressed juices, syrups, infusions, and batched cocktails according to established recipes and specs.

Food Prep:

Prepare and portion ingredients for food menu items, following recipes and kitchen standards.

Knife Skills:

Demonstrate precision and efficiency in cutting, slicing, juicing, and portioning ingredients.

Batching & Consistency:

Follow recipes and portion guidelines closely to ensure consistency in flavor, quality, and yield across every batch.

Food & Beverage Safety:

Adhere to food and beverage safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean, hygienic prep area.

Inventory Management:

Track ingredient and supply levels, flagging the Bar Manager, Sous Chef, or Head Chef when restocking is needed.

Team Collaboration:

Coordinate with both bar and kitchen teams to ensure prep is ready ahead of service, especially during high-volume periods.

Quality Control:

Maintain a sharp eye for freshness and quality in all juiced, clarified, and batched ingredients.

Equipment Care:

Properly handle and maintain prep equipment — juicers, filtration tools, knives, containers — keeping everything in good working condition.

Cleanliness:

Participate in regular cleaning and sanitation of prep stations and shared equipment. Qualifications Experience in cocktail prep, bar-back, prep cook, or similar culinary/beverage role preferred. Familiarity with clarification techniques, juicing, and batching a strong plus. Knowledge of food and beverage safety and sanitation practices. Strong knife skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bar/kitchen environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
