Duties Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients to ensure timely meal service Support cooking activities by following recipes and kitchen procedures to produce quality dishes Handle food safely by adhering to proper storage, sanitation, and hygiene practices Participate in menu planning discussions and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards during food service operations Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, equipment, and utensils to meet health regulations Support catering events by preparing and presenting food items with attention to detail and presentation Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment demonstrating strong food handling skills Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures Culinary experience including meal preparation, cooking, and knife skills preferred Familiarity with menu planning, food industry practices, and catering operations is a plus Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues and customers This role offers an engaging environment where your culinary talents can flourish.
