The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes using traditional cooking methods and ingredients. This role requires a passion for cooking, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Duties Prepare and cook a wide range of Chinese dishes, including stir-fry, dumplings, and noodles, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper handling and storage of food items. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of all dishes served. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members. Assist in menu development by providing input on new dish ideas or improvements to existing recipes. Skills Proficiency in traditional Chinese cooking techniques, particularly wok cooking. Strong understanding of flavor profiles and ingredient pairings commonly used in Chinese cuisine. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of food quality. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation and service of meals.
