Friday and Saturday night availability is required. 2+ years of restaurant kitchen experience is required. All employees must complete employment verification and payroll onboarding before starting work. Direct Deposit is strongly preferred for payroll. Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and proactive Kitchen Support / Prep Cook to join our team at Izakaya Takasei in Huntington Beach. We serve yakitori, Japanese small plates, and seasonal dishes in a professional, fast-paced kitchen environment. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys Japanese food, works well with a team, and can stay organized during busy service. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation, including skewering for yakitori Support the kitchen team with cooking, plating, and timely service Help with meal assembly and prep work before and during service Maintain a clean and organized kitchen Follow food safety, storage, and sanitation standards Communicate clearly with the kitchen and service team Skills / Requirements 2+ years of restaurant kitchen experience required Japanese cuisine experience is a big plus Strong knife skills and basic food preparation experience Knowledge of food handling and kitchen safety procedures English is required Spanish or Japanese is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure Attention to detail and willingness to learn

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
