A Kitchen Staff assists with food preparation as directed by cooks, food supervisors or chefs. Cleans kitchen work areas and dishes. Prepares ingredients for dishes to be cooked, prepares beverages, and stocks salad bars or buffet tables.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
Safety awareness will be priority # 1, adheres to follow all GMP's and guidelines Wear uniform and be on time at the school assignment Receive food delivery from driver Responsible for performing an accurate food and supplies inventory count Call immediate supervisor and report any problems or issues encountered during working shift Distribute meals to students Maintains an active food safety certificate Helps as needed with BBQ events Helps support state food audits Performs other related duties, as assigned Kitchen experience a plus Must pass Department of Justice background check and provide a clear TB test (taken within 4yrs) Ability to get finger print live scan Ability to wear applicable Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) during scheduled work shift
Qualifications:
Ability to get Food handlers certificate / Serv Safe Fluent in English and Spanish a plus Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment Ability to multi-task
Physical Demands:
The ability to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs. The ability to have repetitive use of hands for grasping, folding, pushing, pulling, pouring, kneading, and fine manipulation The ability to bend, twist, walk and stand to perform normal job functions The ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions
Typical Work Schedule:
Approximately 3 to 6 hour shifts daily.
