ANDAAZ is a Bangladeshi culinary salon exploring food, storytelling, hospitality, and cultural preservation through intimate tasting menus inspired by memory, migration, and Northern California's seasonal harvest. Our upcoming event features a special culinary collaboration with a Master Chef alumni, and will bring together a small group of guests for an immersive seven-course dining experience that blends Bangladeshi foodways, seasonal California ingredients, storytelling, sound, and hospitality. We're looking for individuals who are excited about food, hospitality, cultural storytelling, and being part of a creative, community-centered culinary experience. About
ANDAAZ ANDAAZ
is one of the West Coast's first Bangladeshi culinary salons, creating immersive chef's tables rooted in memory, migration, and seasonality.

Position Overview As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work directly alongside the ANDAAZ culinary team to help prepare, plate, organize, and execute a multi-course dining experience.
This role is ideal for:
Culinary students Aspiring chefs Food lovers Hospitality professionals Home cooks looking to gain experience Individuals interested in cultural foodways and storytelling No formal culinary degree is required. Responsibilities Food Preparation Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients Assist with mise en place and kitchen organization Portion ingredients according to recipes Support preparation of sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments Help prepare ingredients in advance of service Event Execution Assist with plating and presentation Help prepare courses for service Replenish ingredients and supplies during service Support beverage and hospitality setup as needed Ensure dishes are plated consistently and beautifully Kitchen Operations Maintain cleanliness throughout the event Wash dishes and kitchen equipment Sanitize surfaces and workstations Assist with event setup and breakdown Organize kitchen tools, ingredients, and storage Team Collaboration Work closely with chefs and event staff Follow instructions efficiently in a fast-paced environment Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture Help create a warm and welcoming guest experience Qualifications Preferred but not required: Experience in kitchens, restaurants, catering, or food service Familiarity with basic knife skills Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to multitask and stay organized Strong attention to detail Positive attitude and willingness to learn We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experience levels.

In addition, team members will receive: Hands-on culinary experience Exposure to chef's table operations Mentorship from the culinary team Networking opportunities within the Bay Area food community A meal and refreshments during the event Event Timing & Location Following a sold-out debut event in June, ANDAAZ is preparing for its second chef's table experience, Tides & Migrations , an intimate six-seat culinary salon hosted at the founder's home in Oakland.
