Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients under supervision. Support cooking activities by organizing ingredients and ensuring all items are ready for chefs or cooks. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards. Handle food items safely, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal of leftovers or expired products. Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods. Help with dishwashing and sanitation duties to uphold hygiene standards in the kitchen. Assist with catering setups and serving when needed, ensuring all food is presented attractively and served promptly. Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable. Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations. Experience working in restaurants or the food industry is a plus. Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen staff and serving guests.
