Position Overview:

As a Dishwasher/Kitchen Assistant , you will play a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained kitchen and dining environment. You will assist in dishwashing, food service, and maintaining sanitation standards while working collaboratively with a dynamic team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain strict confidentiality of resident, employee, and community information. Clean and sanitize utensils, plate ware, glassware, and kitchen equipment. Ensure all dishes are sanitized and available as needed. Set up and close down the dish machine per established procedures. Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance of dishwashing equipment. Accurately complete the Dishwasher Temperature Log at required times. Sweep, mop, and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas. Assist in setting tables, serving meals, and bussing tables as needed. Proactively report any kitchen-related concerns or maintenance needs. Attend training seminars and staff meetings as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must meet state/provincial health-related requirements. Possess a current Food Handler's permit . Ability to read menus and understand residents' dietary needs. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with background noise. Ability to lift, carry, and transport trays and supplies safely.
