Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Event Food Service Team Member and be at the heart of creating memorable experiences for guests at a variety of events. This energetic role offers the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, deliver exceptional guest service, and contribute to the smooth operation of food and beverage services. Whether supporting banquet setups, serving guests, or assisting with food handling and preparation, you'll play a vital part in ensuring every event runs seamlessly and leaves a lasting impression. Responsibilities Set up and break down food service stations, ensuring all equipment and supplies are prepared for each event. Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional, friendly manner, maintaining high standards of hospitality. Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to meet quality standards. Manage bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions involving food and beverage sales. Support catering services by delivering meals, refilling stations, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event. Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling procedures and maintaining hygiene protocols. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, accommodating special requests, and ensuring a positive experience. Assist with beverage service, including wine knowledge application and drink service in fine dining settings. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow during busy event periods. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality environment is preferred; culinary or banquet experience is a plus. Demonstrated guest service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and guest relations. Knowledge of food handling safety practices and proper sanitation procedures. Ability to perform basic math for transactions and portioning tasks accurately. Experience with food preparation, serving techniques, and beverage service including wine knowledge is desirable. Familiarity with POS systems and drink service operations in fine dining or catering settings preferred. Strong communication skills with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
