The district currently operates fourteen elementary schools, three middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, and one adult school. Job Summary Job Summary Classified Substitute is an on-call as needed position. Substitutes may work in a variety of different positions depending on their work experience.
Requirements / Qualifications
The following are required for this position prior to hire:

Fingerprint Clearance process
  • TB clearance Classified Substitute is an on-call as needed position Ideal applicants should have experience in the following areas: 1.
Prepares (such as preps, bakes, cooks, heating) and packages food items for the purpose of providing general consumption by students and staff. 2. Serves food and beverage items for the purpose of meeting mandated nutritional requirements and requests of students and staff both indoors and outdoors. 3. Stocks food items and supplies for the purpose of maintaining adequate quantities for food and supplies. 4. Inspects food items and supplies for the purpose of verifying accurate quantities of deliveries and orders. 5. Cleans equipment and work area for the purpose of maintaining facilities in a sanitary condition. 6. Collects money for the purpose of completing meal transactions. 7. Serve as a Cashier, collect monies and provide correct change. 8. Follow California Retail Food Code (CalCode) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control point) procedures as directed. 9. Maintain the kitchen, storeroom, and freezers in a neat and organized manner. 10. Assists other staff, for the purpose of providing support and back-up for their work assignments.

Food Handler's Certificate (Current Food Handler's Certificate) Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 Professional recommendation letters dated within the past 12 months.) Resume (Please ensure your resume lists any work experience related to the positions you are interested in subbing for.)
