I Love HeartBeets is a small local business focused on the development and creation of plant-based foods. We make a variety of Vegan and vegetarian products utilizing ingredients supplied by local organic farms. We operate 3 Farmers Market Booths every weekend. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant/Farmers Market Team Member to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with food preparation and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly. Also, you will be trained to help at our Market booths and resupply booths with product when necessary. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the food industry and eager to learn more about plant-based foods.

Hours will be as follows:

Saturday 6am-4pm; Sunday 6am-6pm. More hours may be available depending upon abilities and interest. We offer bonuses for consistent great work and the opportunity for growth! Duties

• Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
• Help cooks with food service tasks, ensuring that all products are prepared according to established recipes and standards.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly and stored at appropriate temperatures.
• Support the team in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting low supplies.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food preparation and safety.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without discomfort.
• Vehicle capable of holding booth supplies (Truck or large SUV) preferred.
• Operate a Farmers Market Booth when necessary and shuttle supplies to MarketS when working at the Kitchen Qualifications
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
• A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn more about meal preparation processes.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as necessary.
