As a Kitchen Staff member, you'll support the smooth operation of our restaurant by assisting with food service, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing excellent guest service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hospitality and culinary operations while working alongside passionate professionals. Duties Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations through regular cleaning and sanitizing to uphold food safety regulations. Support food running duties by delivering prepared dishes promptly to guests or servers, ensuring timely service. Help with bussing tables and clearing dishes to maintain a tidy dining environment for guests. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, and ingredients using safe lifting practices. Support front-of-house staff with serving guests when needed, providing friendly and efficient customer service. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems like Micros POS to assist with order processing and transactions accurately. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key! Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests. Experience with kitchen operations such as food preparation, cleaning routines, and basic restaurant service is advantageous. A proactive attitude with excellent guest service skills, demonstrating hospitality and professionalism at all times. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
