Job Description

KITCHEN HELPER
(PT) Mamie Warren Center - (Meals on Wheels Program) Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 1:30 pm (Paid holiday, sick, and vacation time) SUMMARY Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition. Help kitchen staff with daily tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the packaging and distribution of meals Prepares and cleans tea, coffee, and water urns (and condiments) for congregate clients Maintains cleanliness of work areas, removes trash, cleans, and sanitizes pots, pans, and utensils as assigned Follow sanitation and safety regulations as noted in the Food Code Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas Monitor food temperatures using thermometers Backs up serving lines, makes sure the line has an adequate amount of food Transfer completed food packages to appropriate areas for transport or storage Gathers supplies and products needed for daily operation Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION
Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
