In this role, you will support the preparation, presentation, and serving of nutritious meals while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our community. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced food industry setting. Duties Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and food handling techniques Support meal planning and menu execution by preparing ingredients according to dietary guidelines and specifications Cook and assemble meals in accordance with safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area by sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly Serve food to customers or residents in a courteous and professional manner, adhering to food safety protocols Help with catering events or special meal services as needed, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes Follow all food safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests Skills Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly Experience with menu planning and understanding dietary restrictions or special diets Proven ability in food handling, sanitation, and safety practices within the food industry Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation for various cuisines or dietary needs Background in restaurant or kitchen environments demonstrating reliability and teamwork Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food service operations
