Overview:
Parlor Doughnuts is a craft doughnut and coffee shop offering an array of unique bakery items, including our original layered doughnuts; vegan, gluten-friendly, and keto-friendly products; artisanal breakfasts; and specialty coffee. Our goal is to efficiently deliver a superior product, at a moderate price, with exceptional service, in a comfortable setting. Parlor Doughnuts is looking to expand our team! To prepare the café food in a quick and quality manner for customers is a work of art. We are in search of someone to ensure that the specialty products of keto, vegan, and chocolate muffins are fully stocked and meet or exceed the Parlor standard. Duties & Responsibilities Assist with food preparation and cooking under the direction of the kitchen manager or head chef Prepare all specialty food items (Keto, Vegan, etc.) by following recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent quality Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for customers Help front of house by providing excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing customer concerns Help direct in additional duties such as, sweeping, dishes, or garbage. Help Front of House with tasks, e.g. box making, bag stamping, & wiping down tables. Experience Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred but not required Knowledge of basic food handling and preparation techniques Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Physical stamina to withstand a full shift on their feet Must obtain/maintain Serv Safe® or State certification Knowledge/training/certification in kitchen emergencies (First Aid, CPR, Fires) If you are passionate about food, enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, and have a strong commitment to customer service, we would love to hear from you!
