Responsibilities Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients in accordance with safety standards. Support cooking activities by organizing ingredients and maintaining cleanliness of cooking stations. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, including storage, sanitation, and temperature controls. Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with serving setups as needed. Follow all safety protocols related to knife skills, food safety, and equipment use to prevent accidents and ensure compliance. Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required. Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly advantageous. Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is beneficial. Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations is essential. Strong knife skills and experience in meal preparation are desirable assets. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen staff and serving customers.
