This position will assist in the daily operation of a school cafeteria and supervise food production and service activities in the kitchen.Responsibilities will include:
- daily planning and posting of work schedules for lunchroom staff;
- ordering food and supplies for kitchen;
- receiving deliveries;
- checking supply orders and invoices;
- preparing daily paperwork for meal counts, deposits and production records;
- making daily deposits of all income;
- maintaining accurate inventories of purchased and USDA foods;
- participating in training courses as required by state standards;
- planning and maintaining daily production records;
- controlling daily inventory withdrawal in storage room, coolers, and freezers;
- maintaining all records and reports to meet State and USDA requirements;
- hiring and training new personnel; and
- performing related duties as assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to pass a required physical and background check.
- Ability to operate computers and cash registers for record-keeping, daily point of sale activity, and production records.
