Job Summary The Fudge Maker is responsible for preparing high-quality fudge and candy products while delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role ensures all products are made according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines while maintaining a clean, organized, and guest-ready environment. The Fudge Maker supports daily kitchen and retail operations and plays a key role in creating an engaging and memorable experience for guests. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service Deliver excellent guest service to internal and external customers in alignment with Rock City Enterprises' mission, culture, and values. Model appropriate guest and partner interactions at all times. Ensure guests receive high-quality food items served in a clean, welcoming environment in a timely manner. Fudge Production & Food Preparation Prepare fudge products by mixing, pouring, cutting, and finishing according to established recipes and quality standards. Strictly adhere to recipe guidelines to ensure consistency and product excellence. Follow proper food storage, handling, and preparation procedures at all times. Maintain awareness of food safety practices and comply with all applicable health standards. Retail & Kitchen Operations Perform opening and closing procedures, including all standard cashier and Point of Sale (POS) duties. Support daily operations of the Fudge Kitchen in collaboration with the team. Work with the Fudge Kitchen Team Leader to ensure merchandise is attractively displayed. Ensure work areas are properly stocked, clean, and organized throughout the shift. Safety, Cleanliness & Compliance Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following safety and sanitation guidelines. Ensure kitchen equipment, tools, and surfaces are cleaned and maintained according to standards. Adhere to all organizational processes and procedures consistently. General Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Qualifications Education & Experience Minimum of one (1) year of experience in candy making, food preparation, or a related field preferred. Willingness to receive training if prior experience is limited. Knowledge & Skills Ability to present a professional, engaging, and polite image to guests and partners. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to read and understand operational and recipe documentation. Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using U.S. currency. Availability & Work Requirements Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed. Physical Demands & Work Environment Regular use of hands and fingers. Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Ability to stand for extended periods.
