In this vital role, you will support food preparation, ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained, and assist with meal service to deliver nutritious and delicious options. Duties Assist with food preparation by slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and safety standards Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently Support meal planning efforts by preparing ingredients according to menu specifications Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, appliances, and storage areas to uphold food safety regulations Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety management Help with food service activities including plating meals, setting up serving stations, and assisting with catering events Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks, report issues, and ensure smooth kitchen operations Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating knowledge of food preparation and safety standards Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Strong understanding of food handling practices, knife skills, slicing techniques, and food safety management systems Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff while maintaining clear communication Basic culinary experience including cooking skills and familiarity with the food industry standards Join us in creating a positive impact through nourishing meals!
